I already found Colton's Halloween costume

He is going to be Ricky Bobby, from Talledega Nights. Well, since we have not seen the movie we will just fake it.

Colton started "school" yesterday!

Since my doctor's appointments are getting more frequent, Dada and I decided to look into Mother's Day Out programs. While researching all over the city, I found a fabulous center for him.

Dada was in charge of taking him the first day because I was getting a 3-hour blood draw (fun!) and it was much harder on him than it was on Colton I think.

There are 5 boys and 1 girl in his class and he had a wonderful day. When I picked him up, he was happily playing with a puzzle. I called his name 4 times before he even noticed I was there. He finally saw me, and ran to me smiling when he gave me a big hug.

He ate well and played well, but he boycotted his nap completely. Ugh.

He already is excited about going back to "Cool" as he calls it tomorrow.

The Kangaroo Climber is a total hit!

His eyes lit up when he saw it and he hasn't stopped playing on it yet.

My huge bargain at Target

They had this toy, called the Step 2 Kangaroo Climber that retails for $129.99 on sale for.....

$17.99!!!

I put it together myself and can't wait for Colton to play.

Gotta love a bargain like that! Posted by Picasa

Colton's 18 month stats!

He is *STILL* a skinny-mini (she calls him "petite!"), but he is following his own curves still, so the doc was pleased.

23 lbs., 5.5 oz. (17th%)
31.5 in tall (21st%)
18.5 in head (10th%)

The doc told me not to stress about potty training b/c boys always take longer than girls, so 2-2.5 is normal.

He can still be in his crib since he is so short, but to try to put him in the toddler bed during naps soon.

Give him a one minute time-out if he has a tantrum and let him bang his head. He will stop doing that on his own and it's perfectly normal.

She was very impressed at his verbal skills and the whole saying his numbers and letters. She told me to keep reading to him as much as he wants b/c that is the best thing for him.

He got 3 shots including DTaP, polio and Hepatitis C.

Everything was great and we'll be back in 6 months!

Happy 18 months, Big Boy!

Yep, he is 18 months old already. Time to pull out the cliche - "Where has the time gone?"

Here is his professional picture from Olan Mills.
