We have a walker!

Well, he won't be doing any marathons in the near future, but Colton is definitely getting this whole "walking" thing. Today, he walked about 10 steps in a row in order to get to his Cheerios.

Yay for walking! Posted by Picasa

Our new and improved living room!

Well, we have been busy around the McDuffie household. We painted the living room a warm brown color (called "Cardboard"), designed and purchased a new leather sofa matching recliner that rocks and swivels, and lastly I got a great deal on a beautiful new rug from Pottery Barn.

I finally feel like this is our home.

Now we need to have another party I guess... Posted by Picasa

Our living room - before and after!

Here is the before pic. Very bland and boring beige walls, bachelor furniture that was a hand-me-down and a pastel rug...Posted by Picasa

How sporty he is!

His new Wilson windsuit looks so cute on him, don't you think? (Excuse the drool, he is getting in 2 more teeth as we speak!) Posted by Picasa

This walking stuff is sure a pain in the eye

On one hand, I cannot wait for Colton to walk; but on the other hand, I hate to see him fall!

This shiner happened yesterday and it is still getting bluer by the hour. Ugh. Posted by Picasa

Colton is showing his Dada how to work the mouse

We are so thankful that Colton can help troubleshoot his computer. ;) Posted by Picasa

Colton's ONE YEAR stats!

weight 18' 14" (4th percentile)
height 28.75 (20th percentile)
head 18" (79th percentile) [He totally bumped his noggin yesterday, so I think this is off]

He is proportionally "petite". Ugh. So much for the football scholarship, huh? My doc said that he can eat ANYTHING at this point, even honey and peanut butter, just no popcorn for choking hazards.

She wants me to give him milk and it may be chocolate or strawberry milk too. And he can have jarred baby food if he wants it, as long as I supplement with other veggies, fruit and meat. The child eats a ton, so this is not a problem.

He had 2 shots and at his 15 month, they check his blood for iron. That will be lots of fun - NOT!

Let's hope he has a huge growth spurt soon!

Happy 1st Birthday, Colton!

We spent the day getting our portrait made and bumping our head at the studio after we shot the last one (see photo over his eye)...

I can hardly believe that my little boy is not a baby anymore.

Happy 0-1! We love you, Snickerdoodle! Posted by Picasa

Trying to escape, huh?

Colton thought he could make it out the front door without me noticing...

Luckily, Kodiak was there to insure that he stayed inside. Posted by Picasa
