I wondered why the crib railing was so wet! YUCK! Posted by Picasa

OK, I am definitely going to panic now. I tucked Colton in for his nap and when it got quiet I went to check on him and THIS is how I found him! TIme to lower the mattress again, huh? Posted by Picasa

Who me? I wasn't doing anything!  Posted by Picasa

Happy 34th Birthday, Dada!

Yep, Colton's daddy had a birthday today. We celebrated by having a family breakfast and then we watched the Falcons win. (Who cares? At least my Cowboys didn't choke in the 4th quarter again! A win is a win, right?) My husband's best buddy Andy came over and they spent some quality time on their motorcycles. Even though the Fat-Boy has gone to Harley Heaven thanks to Hurricane Katrina, he still has his Sportster (that I was obviously Indian-given) to ride around on. They had a great time. Andy's Buell did win in the battle of the speedometers though...

BTW - I made a *fabulous* German chocolate cake too. I have become more domestic than any of you realize.

And yes, for those observant folks, I did indeed rob the cradle. ;)

Crawling all around the house, eating everything in sight and taunting Kodiak sure takes a lot out of Colton. Posted by Picasa

Colton is ready to see Texas A&M beat the hell outta S.M.U.! Final score: 66-8. Whoop! Posted by Picasa

His shirt says "Have you hugged a baby soldier today?" Thanks, Lori Tripp!  Posted by Picasa

Colton is trying very hard to crawl... He actually moved across the floor scooting on his back digging his heels into the carpet. Does that count as crawling??? Posted by Picasa

Thanks to Colton's Great Grandmother and Great Aunt for the cool high chair. We love it!  Posted by Picasa

Colton and his Dada on the slide. What a nice time at the park we had. Posted by Picasa

Colton is getting shaggy already... I think we are going to have to get his hair cut soon. :) Posted by Picasa

Colton would rather WEAR his carrots and beef instead of eating it... He prefers oatmeal with pears and cinnamon the best. Oh, the joys of feeding a 7 month old! Posted by Picasa

7 months and counting!

My favorite thing that Colton is doing now is shaking his head no... He does it to everyone and to everything that we say. I can't help but laugh, which obviously keeps him going! Posted by Picasa

Lordy, Lordy I can't believe I am FORTY!

I had another wonderful time in Dallas for my fortieth birthday. Once again, efforts were made to see all my friends, but alas, I always seem to run out of time before I run out of friends I want to spend time with! My husband luckily joined us from New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina reared her ugly head and he got to spend the whole week in Dallas with us. He was so lucky that he had all of his belongings with him except his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle. We hope that "Big Sister" is OK and he will be making a trek on Monday to get her and bring her back to Atlanta. His office suffered damage and he is on leave until further notice, which means that we are all here together. I am so thankful that he is safe.

During my trip, I was blessed with lots of wonderful gifts and I am busy working on Thank You notes as I write this. I am so thankful that I have such wonderful people in my life. Turning the Big 4-0 was not nearly as upsetting as I thought it would be. After all, I have a wonderful husband, a beautiful son and lovely friends and family that I am so proud to be a part of. You know who you are! I just wish I was in Texas permanently and not occasionally on vacation...

Thanks to all of you for making me feel so special on my special day!

Caroline Hargrave really enjoyed Colton's visit. It's a shame that he spit up on Krusty's armchair. Sorry... Posted by Picasa
