Mike Majors really was a hit with the kiddos dressed as Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer. He removed the nose for dinner though. :) 

The Clark Family Christmas

Colton's grandma Sharon had all the family over for Christmas festivities. Sharon had fun with all the grandkids. Here Colton and Gracie are enjoying the train. 

Colton already has his first crush!

On the little girl with the long brown pigtails on the Welch's grape juice commercial! I don't care what he is doing, as soon as he hears her voice, he stops and smiles this BIG GOOFY SMILE at her. He watches the entire thing and never takes his eyes off her.

I think I should let Welch's know that she has an admirer.

Colton's Picture with Santa Claus

Well, he did great! Colton never fussed at all. The Santa was amazing. He had an authentic beard and he was very gentle and loving. Colton sat in his lap and played with him for a few minutes while the photographer was helping another customer.

My only complaint is that is is very overexposed and you can't see the adorable look on Colton's face.

Colton finally moves out of the infant seat!

This car seat should make the 12 hour car ride to Dallas for Christmas slightly more bearable for Colton. And the denim is not only adorable, but functional too. It is 100% cotton and washable too! 

He's flying high!

Colton loves it when his Dada throws him high in the air. Maybe he will be able clean the ceiling fan blades while he is up there sometime. :)

How much is that baby in the window?

Colton saw his reflection in the mirror and kept saying, "Baby, baby, baby!" It was so sweet.

What a genius he is! 

My Christmas Jammies

This is bar none the most useful baby toy of all. Colton loves playing in it still and since he is so mobile these days, it gives me a little rest from running around trying to catch him too!

Riding high on his 10 month birthday!

Yep - only 2 months until we blow out birthday candles. I can't believe it! 

We have a tooth!!!

Well, it's not a whole tooth, but more of a hole where a tooth is trying to come in! If you get a magnifying glass, you can see it on the bottom left. :)

I am so thrilled for my late-blooming son.

Colton and his Cousin Stacy

This was the first time that Colton was able to meet his beautiful cousin Stacy. Normally she is so busy beating the boys off with a stick that she cannot make family functions... :)

We are so glad that she could celebrate Thanksgiving with us this year though. We love you, Stacy!

Look at the puppy!

Colton's great-aunt Pam brought her poodle, Sophie to Alabama too. Needless to say, she was a big hit with the kids. Colton had never seen a dog that small before. :)

Colton got a haircut!

Well, it was really just a trim, but it was his first. What a big boy! 

Holy cow - Colton has decided to redecorate the nursery

I came in this morning to get him after his nap and this is what I found - the border that his Dada & I spent hours on, destroyed. He also decided to eat some of it. Luckily, the nurse help line told me that it wouldn't hurt him too much. I guess I know what we'll be doing this weekend...

He stood up today!

Colton has been pulling up on everything for quite a while. Today, however, he took it one step further. After he pulled up, he let go and stood by himself! It only lasted about 5 seconds, but it was wonderful. I am so proud of my little peanut! I wish his Dada would have been home to see it. He'll be walking before I know it I am sure.

Colton is definitely a carnivore!

Here he is enjoying a mouthful of homemade chicken tenders that I made last night. I cut them up very small, but he jammed his mouth full and proceeded to almost choke...

16 lbs., 5.5 oz. (2nd percentile)

27.5" tall (24th percentile)

17" head (5th percentile)

OK, he's still *really* tiny, but Colton's pediatrician was THRILLED that he gained some needed weight. His growth curve had a huge upward spike this time. She is not concerned and made me feel better that my son is a peanut - a healthy peanut though!

He got a hemoglobin check (heel prick) which came out fine, and a flu shot. He gets a flu booster next month and a chicken pox shot at 15 months. She also told me to finish up his bottle of Zantac for his reflux, but I didn't need to refill it - Yeah!

I asked her about his lack of teeth and she said that they aren't concerned until they are 15 months and still toothless. She felt his gums and thought I should see some teeth very soon.

Also, he can go to whole milk next month, which means that he will have never had formula! Wow. I can't believe that I have nursed for this long! Yeah me!

Something tells me this will not be the last time that Colton knocks it over either!

Happy 9 Months, Colton!

This photo puts in perspective how tiny he is. He is literally standing under the kitchen table. We will find out his stats at his doctor's appointment on Thursday. Any guesses?!? 

Happy Halloween!

Well, Colton's first Halloween was pretty uneventful. He was asleep by 7:00!! Oh well, I am sure that next year he will be able to enjoy the festivities a little more.
